I’d like to pay my heart felt respect to the traditional custodians of the land in which I live, work and raise my children here on Gubbi Gubbi country. I have deep gratitude for the first nation peoples of this country, both past and present. I recognise their ancient spiritual, cultural and physical connection to this land and am grateful for the opportunity to deepen my connection to self, spirit and community through the natural environment that surrounds me.

I also acknowledge the more than human ones that surround me and remind me every day of the beauty that exists. The wedge-tail eagles who are often flying overhead, the kookaburras who rise with the sun and the gum trees that blow in wind. I honour the presence of Mt Ninderry, Mt Coolum and the Maroochy River who’s ancient wisdom is felt as they look my family.

I acknowledge the ongoing legacy of colonisation and the role we have in decolonising and reconnecting ourselves to this country.
